Business Development Lead
Full time position based in Luxembourg City
- OffWorld is a robotics startup working on developing a mobile robotic workforce for heavy industrial jobs on Earth, Moon, asteroids & Mars. OffWorld was founded by an experienced engineering team drawing on decades of tackling formidable engineering challenges at NASA, ESA, NOAA, Maxar Technologies, CERN, Reaction Engines, SAFRAN, Surrey Satellites and Cisco. OffWorld's first challenge is developing and maturing a modular robotic system for extreme environments on Earth. Our robots will go deeper underground and further on Earth than humans can, eliminate the need for humans to work in lifethreatening environments in mining, construction, tunneling and other dangerous industries, and dramatically reduce the environmental footprint and cost of operations in key economies on Earth and beyond._
- OffWorld Europe SARL, based in Luxembourg, is an affiliate of OffWorld, Inc. (OffWorld US), with its headquarters in Los Angeles, California. Combined with its South Africa & Australia operations, OffWorld currently has over 75 team members and over 6,000 sqm of engineering facilities. OffWorld Europe is focused on developing and deploying modules for the extraction and storage of resources on the Moon._

You will also organize and review all customer-provided documents, develop project timelines, collaborate with cross-functional resources to gather pertinent information, analyze customer needs and business drivers, and develop strong qualitative content.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Manage the contract lifecycle, including monitoring compliance and performance, and ensuring that contract obligations are fulfilled
- Create, collect, edit, proofread, organize, format, review drafts, and finalize proposals for readability, consistent messaging, thought leadership, responsiveness, and compliance with customer requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of contracts and contract activities
- Identify and address potential contract disputes or issues before they escalate
- Review and analyze customerdefined scope and requirements for proposal requests
- Support business development activities related to ISRU customer acquisition.
- Work with Business Development to determine the appropriate response strategy
- Assist with the creation of presentation material
- Identify and evaluate potential customers and markets
- Support in the development of the product roadmap
- Monitor current category market conditions and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities
To hit the ground running, you need:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years' experience in proposal development
- Adept in SQL, excel, data tables, Microsoft Office and presentation tools
- Highly organized and research oriented
- Experience in compiling and delivering all the material needed for proposals: technical, commercial, financial, implementation, management, contractual, risk
- An understanding of and experience within the ESA ecosystem
- Strong and succinct communicator with the ability to navigate and communicate complex ideas effectively verbally, in writing, and in presentations
- Commercial awareness, with a strong understanding of the space industry
- Understanding of project management of space programs
- Selfstarter who enjoys working with crossfunctional teams to achieve a common goal
- Engineering and or post graduate degree preferred, but not required
