Objective of the traineeship:

You will play a significant role in regular monitoring and planning of EIB Global's business plan.

You will be contributing to the development of new products and business development ideas across EIB Global geographies and sectors.


Responsibilities:


Under the supervision of the Head of Unit and the senior colleague, you will actively participate in the Unit's core activities.


Your main tasks will be:

  • Monitoring of the business plan in terms of signatures and disbursements across EIB Global geographies, namely Enlargement and Neighborhood Countries, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean and Asia and Pacific;
  • Contribute to the setup of Key Performance Indicators for the front office teams on business delivery with a focus on achieving development impact and also financial sustainability;
  • Elaborate financial analysis and/or competitive and benchmarking analysis according to the needs
  • Contribute to the development of new products and/or business development ideas both for public and private sector clients;
  • Participate in the elaboration of reporting/briefing notes/presentation in relation to business planning and development.

Academic qualifications and professional skills:

  • Final year of studies or University degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
  • A first experience and/or understanding or interest in development and climate finance will be considered as an advantage
  • Good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Good knowledge of French.
