EIB Global Directorate - Neighboring Countries Department - Public Sector South Division - Mashreq Unit
at its headquarters in Luxembourg:TRAINEE**

_ Please note that the Programme is created under the Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF) and is open to young nationals from one of the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Region (Algeria, Egypt, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia) and ACP (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific) Region, all 79 ACP Partner Countries (please see Provisions section)._

Objective of the traineeship:


To support Public Sector South division, Mashreq Unit in operational tasks related to due diligence (KYC, financial, coordination of legal, compliance and risk aspects prepared by specialized teams), contract negotiations and monitoring of infrastructure projects that the EIB finances in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

In addition, you will support the Loan Officers in blending and technical assistance tasks (including drafting Terms of References for consultants) as well as will perform market research and draft internal notes/briefings for internal and external purposes.

The tasks will be performed in close coordination with operational teams in the headquarters and locally.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Know Your Customer activities
  • Support with common due diligence tasks
  • Preparation of Technical Assistance and Investment Grant proposals
  • Support with /preparation of ToRs for consultancies
  • Market research
  • Presentations for conferences
  • Data elaboration for meetings

Academic qualifications and professional skills:

  • Final year of studies or University degree of a MENA/ACP partner country in Economics, Business Administration or Finance
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
