The **EIB**, the European Union's bank is seeking to recruit for its Human Resources Directorate (HR), HR Policies Department (HRPLC), Organization & People Development Division (O&PD) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a **Senior/Principal Operational Assistant Performance Management*.**

**This is a part-time position (50% of working time) at grade 2/3 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.**

**Purpose**:
You will operate, inform and monitor key operational processes and activities in the domain of Performance Management, mainly the performance management cycle and probations, to support collective and individual performance at EIB.

**Accountabilities**:

- Execute in a continuous, autonomous, and proactive manner operational tasks on all probation and performance cycle steps. These include the planning and monitoring of the annual creation of probation and performance documents, taking the relevant corrective actions, administering, and monitoring the timeliness and quality of all performance management steps from objective setting to the closure of the year-end performance evaluation exercise, as well as all probation period steps.
- Execute the regular controls, check the data quality and compliance with the current staff rules, regulations, PM guidelines, performance report and procedures. Keep process documentation up to date in the ICF framework, RACIs, calendars, DPO notifications, MyPortal. Propose and initiate continuous operational or systems simplifications and log improvement ideas.
- Inform and provide first level responses on probation and performance management to staff, managers, HR business partners and coordinations; showing initiative and independent judgment as required. Collaborate with PM officers and relevant HR specialists for more complex questions.
- Draft communication, how-to guides and training material related to the probation and performance management processes and ensure they are always up to date and relevant.
- Act as point of contact with the HR Systems and Data Reporting teams to specify system needs (mainly SuccessFactors and PeopleSoft), test the functionalities and accuracy of the systems and reports, explaining IT issues when they surface and agree on their resolution. Pro-actively contribute to the maintenance/update of the HR systems and databases and coordinate actions to improve the overall quality of data for the correct administration of the probation and performance management processes.
- Provide ad hoc operational support to the PM officers in relation to policy updates, stakeholder engagements, analyses, reports, and projects.

**Qualifications**:

- Secondary level diploma complemented with a 2-year certification in a relevant field (HR, data, business administration, legal).
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience preferably in key detailed processing and/or a customer-oriented service or in a human resources environment.
- Attention for details, procedures, accuracy, and ability to maintain confidentiality is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of Peoplesoft, Success Factors and Business Objects.
- Excellent knowledge of standard computer tools, particularly MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (*), with a good command of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.

Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
