The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its **Inspectorate General Directorate (IG) -** **Complaints Mechanism Division (CM) - Dispute Resolution Unit (Dispute Resolution), **at its headquarters in Luxembourg**:TRAINEE**

**Objective of the traineeship**:
As a trainee, you are intended to
- Support the dispute resolution work of the EIB Complaints Mechanism in the existing workload as well as regarding specific additional tasks,
- Contribute to the dispute resolution function outreach activities for internal and external purposes,
- Support the implementation of the existing policy and procedures. You are not expected to conduct any complaints handling by yourself, but will assist and support the relevant officers. As such, you will be involved during the different stages of case management. You will therefore be offered a learning opportunity regarding the public accountability of the EIB Group.

**Responsibilities**:
Under the responsibility of the relevant (Senior) Dispute Resolution Officer, you shall compile presentations on the work carried out by the dispute resolution unit and will be involved in the preparation of a workshop for external facilitators.

Further, under the responsibility of the relevant Complaints and/or Dispute Resolution Officer(s), you shall support the handling of specific complaints in:

- Gathering and reviewing internal and external information pertinent to the case.
- Establishing the relevant regulatory framework concerning the issues raised by the complaint.
- Engaging with the relevant stakeholders, whenever appropriate.

**Academic qualifications and professional skills**:

- Final year of studies or University degree in law, political science, sustainable development, environmental or social studies, economics, business or public administration, EU studies or any related field.
- Knowledge regarding accountability/complaints mechanisms, environmental and social impacts, international organisations and/or relations with civil society organisations would be an advantage.
- Good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software; Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French. Knowledge of other EU or non-EU languages would be an advantage.
- Very good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to summarise and present information with attention to detail
- Ability to draft clear and concise reports
- Committed team-player
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Flexibility and reliability, result orientation
