The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its** Projects Directorate - Sustainability and Quality Management Department - Environment, Climate & Social Office Division - Social Policy Unit, **at its headquarters in Luxembourg**:TRAINEE**

**_ Please note that the Programme is created under the Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF) and is open to young nationals from one of the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Region (Algeria, Egypt, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia) and ACP (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific) Region, all 79 ACP Partner Countries (please see Provisions section)._**

**Objective of the traineeship**:
**Responsibilities**:
Your main tasks will be:

- Contribute to processes for the development of internal knowledge and guidance on social inclusion and gender under the Social Sustainability and Inclusion Framework workstream.
- Collect and analyse data using internal systems and prepare briefings and periodic internal reports on social inclusion and gender activities across the Bank.
- Contribute to outreach and awareness raising efforts on social and gender issues within the Bank, including presentations and trainings.
- Support knowledge workflow and coordination on technical assistance on gender and social inclusion issues, including across the various helpdesks and technical assistance facilities by region.
- Work with colleagues to collect and/or assist to collect case stories, best practice documentation, lesson learned; and update and manage that information in project's reports and other knowledge products.
- Support benchmarking and coordination efforts with other Multilateral Development Banks on social inclusion issues.

**Academic qualifications and professional skills**:

- Final year of studies or University degree of a MENA/ACP partner country in international development, social development, social anthropology, gender studies, public policy, sustainable finance, conflict and peacebuilding or a relevant field.
- Knowledge of writing reports, and designing tools for data collection, analysis and production of reports; Good interpersonal, communications, and facilitation skills;
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to gender equality and/social inclusion issues including outside of the EU and in affected countries would be a significant advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and / or French.
