As a **Business Development Lead**, you will join our **EU Business Development team** to help encompass sales, client growth, account management, lead generation and a number of other important elements including strategic partnership opportunities, events and networking, and internal projects.

**What you'll do**
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the business development strategy for the Traders/Crypto Native segment, ensuring alignment between strategy, activity and the achievement of the revenue targets and budgets.
- As a key leader in the Business Development organization, support the development of high performing BD teams for your segment, at the EMEA level and globally.
- Work with the other BD Leads and the Chief Commercial Officer to set and achieve new client acquisition, key account volume and revenue growth and related goals for the Traders/Crypto Native segment.
- Strategically sell Bitstamp products and features through a deep knowledge of the industry, platform, client business models, and the cryptocurrency ecosystem; lead EMEA BD efforts to grow adoption of credit offerings and related volume/revenue.
- Source new clients, sell them on the holistic Bitstamp value proposition, and assist in making the onboarding process efficient and positive for new corporate clients.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key and high-potential institutional customers and enable their volume and revenue growth as the main point of contact.
- Act as a client advocate in navigating Bitstamp departments and functions during negotiation and onboarding, and in troubleshooting issues.
- Work closely with Pricing team and Chief Commercial Officer to develop and optimize designated market maker programs, and leverage market maker relationships to support the development of new offerings and markets (e.g. derivatives)
- Work closely with the Business Development team members to support all prospective and existing client opportunities.

**On day one you'll bring**
- Excellent knowledge of English language (written and verbal) and additional foreign language is a plus..
- Mandatory prior experience in sales or business development roles, highly desirable experience in financial industry / fintech, crypto and Blockchain technology, experience working globally.
- Characteristics: Responsible, goal oriented, self-initiative, precision, good communication skills, non-conflict, independence, teamwork experience.
