THE ROLE
The Human Resources Director coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs in the organization; provides support to the Leadership Team Members in all HR related activities; acts as main counterpart to Group HR; provides direction to the HR Plant teams.
**Reporting Line**: Global CEO
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Europe HR Director provides coordination on HR activities, services, policies, and programs for several locations in Europe.
More in detail, the HR Director will handle the day to day HR management in the organization, including:
Local employment law met working conditions;
Competencies management and planning, HR development and training systems;
Performance committees and career reviews, employees communication;
Social, Work Council and Unions relations;
Relationships with company lawyers;
Compensation & Benefits management;
Legal and practical advice for the Board of Management and all the executives on HR topics;
Development of strategic HR concepts together with the Board and the Works Councils;
Development of managing principles and concepts incl. training of the executives;
Controlling the personnel budget (HC and costs) for the European sites;
Negotiations with employee representatives
Harmonization of the European HR policies;
This position requires a high degree of commitment and implies to travel to the locations of the division.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
Minimum of 15 years of work experience in this field
Min 10 years’ experience in an industrial environment
Studies in Economics or Law with focus on Personnel management Experience in European and/or Global Personnel management
Able to handle confidential matters in a responsible manner.
Highly experienced in negotiations with Unions and employee representatives
Experience in the industrial area and with post-merger integration
Knowledge and understanding of termination, regulations and procedures.
**Good communication and interaction skills**: clear + concise + persuasive style, good social skills, mediator skills
Intercultural understanding
Fluency in English (written + spoken); command of German or Italian is a plus, French also an advantage
