The trust company is involved in activities of general financial, legal, fiscal and compliance aspects of the client companies and guarantees the correctness of the respective file for holding of participations, group financing (SOPARFIs, SPFs, SPVs, etc.) or fund activities (central administration and/or transfer agent). The company is located in the city center and the whole team in Luxembourg is composed of around 40 persons.
**In your role, your principal responsibilities will be**:
Bookkeeping and the preparation of the annual financial statements, as well as the consolidated financial statements if required
Communication and sending of requested information to clients, auditors, banks and tax authorities or other 3rd parties as required
**Day-to-day management**: correspondence with intermediaries, banks, clients; preparation of wire instructions under the supervision of the (S)RM
**Tax compliance**: calculate tax provisions and establish the corporate tax return (CIT, MBT and NWT returns) with the support of in-house tax experts and potentially in cooperation with external tax consultants
**VAT compliance**: preparation of the monthly / quarterly / annual VAT returns with the support of in-house VAT experts and potentially in cooperation with external tax consultants
**Company secretarial**: you will ensure that the companies comply with legal requirements, in terms of annual financial statements' approval and filing, statutory appointments, etc. (preparation of minutes of Board of managers / directors as well as shareholders 'meetings)
Preparation of the Business Acceptance Committee notes and update the centralized database when required
**For this recruitment, your required qualifications are**:
University studies or professional studies (Bac+2/3) in economics, law or accounting
1-2 years of financial experience in Luxembourg
General knowledge in reading and understanding balance sheets
Basic knowledge of Luxembourg Corporate Taxation and Double Tax treaties, EEC Directives, etc
General understanding of Luxembourg Company Law and be willing to follow training sessions in Company Law which are assessed as being necessary
Basic knowledge of the compliance requirements
Fluent in English and any another language is an asset
