What is the LHoFT?

The LHoFT Foundation is a public - private sector initiative that drives technology innovation for Luxembourg’s Financial Services industry, connecting the domestic and international FinTech community to develop solutions that shape the world of tomorrow.

The LHoFT connects with and creates value for the entire Luxembourg financial ecosystem; financial institutions, Fintech startups & trailblazers, IT industry, research and academia as well as the regulatory and public authorities.

**Its founding private sector partners are**: BGL BNP Paribas, Clearstream (Deutsche Börse Group), BCEE, Deloitte, Foyer Group, KPMG, POST Luxembourg, Six Payment Services, PwC, Société Générale, Telindus (Proximus Group), State Street and Temenos.

The other partners of the initiative are the Government of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the City of Luxembourg and the University of Luxembourg.

What is the role?

The Accounting and Administrative Assistant will report to the Accounting and Legal Manager, but will work closely with the whole team at the LHoFT. She/He will be responsible for supporting the Accounting and Legal Manager in their duties related to client onboarding, invoicing, management accounting, contract management and administration of the foundation’s CRM amongst other things. Additionally, the role will involve providing support as needed in the administration function on the LHoFT, working with the Administration Manager, to ensure the smooth running of the LHoFT facility.

**The role responsibilities are as follows**:
Accounting & Legal (primary responsibilities)

Helping to enhance, implement and ensure invoicing procedure
Improving time to payment to ensure a consistent cash-flow
Administration and reconciliation of management accounting system
Onboarding new payees and payors
Identifying and resolving issues with invoicing/late payment/general book-keeping
Ensuring cash flows are in line with the budgets
Developing and implementing efficient management accounting reports
Preparing internal financial reports for board meetings and ad-hoc
Accounting and legal support for the on-boarding of the companies
Reviewing and commenting on contracts
Preparing and reviewing contracts and addendums
Helping to collect, review and manage the AML/KYC documents

Administration (as needed)

Helping to arrange travel itineraries
Helping to arrange executive’s appointment schedules
Interacting with external parties from within and outside Luxembourg to arrange meetings, conference calls and other events
Acting as a back-up for the front desk - welcoming guest; answering or directing inquiries
Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential
Acting as first line support and problem-solving person for the companies hosted at the LHoFT or using the LHoFT facilities

The person we are looking for will likely have the following attributes:
Up to 5 years of experience

Knowledge of financial control
An enthusiastic, can-do attitude
Ability to multi-task and manage a range of projects
Agility - ability to attend to new priorities quickly as required
Analytical and diligent
Willing to learn (technologies, methods) and develop new competencies
Creativity, both in ideas and execution
Organised and level headed, not prone to panic or to over-react but able to assess, plan actions and implement in a constructive and logical way
Confidence to be autonomous, take responsibility and make reasonable decisions
Not too arrogant to ask for help or input to ensure the best outcomes
Be a team player - looking to involve others and utilise their skills but also be willing to share their own and work with others towards team goals
Good writing and excel skills
Fluency in English and French, both oral and written, Luxembourgish and German would be an advantage
