**Business Overview**:
The Operations teams aligned directly or indirectly to the new European Legal Entity of J.P. Morgan (JPMSE) support their clients as well as partners and functions, including Technology, Data Science, Client Service, Product and Platform, as well as other businesses and stakeholders across the firm.
**The role**:
As JPMSE continues to expand the footprint of its Operations (Markets, Security Services, Payments and other Sub-Lines of Businesses) in Europe, we are in the search for an additional resource to join and support our overall Legal Entity Operations.
This newly created VP role in Luxembourg will report to JPMSE's Head of Operations Production who ensures that the Operations production framework is running in sustainable manner.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for
- Providing support to the Head of Operations Production in coordinating groups across JPMSE's Production Operations teams;
- Assisting with the management of production-related issues, ensuring continuity of service while simultaneously managing effective resolution with key stakeholders and identifying and escalating production-related issues to JPMSEs accountable Board member for Operations, Outsourcing, and Technology as well as to the relevant Lines of Business;
- Gathering information from various sources to capture current Operations Production status - identifying and interpreting patterns and trends, assessing data quality and eliminating irrelevant data;
- Supporting Operations Production management to prioritize business and information needs, locate and define new process improvement opportunities and strengthen lines of communication with key EMEA operations and control stakeholders
- Support ongoing automation initiatives of JPMSEs production teams and help establish the right governance framework around it.
You will work hand-in-hand with the Outsourcing Governance, Operations Oversight and Governance & Controls teams.
You will have interaction and exposure to senior officers of the bank as well as auditors and will participate to the representation of the Head of Operations Production to the regulators.
**Qualifications**:
- Able to demonstrate broad operational knowledge of businesses like Banking, Custody & Fund Services, Markets, Private Bank, Commercial Bank etc. Specialisation in one or more of those will be positively acknowledged;
- Able to coordinate with teams across various lines of business, functions, and locations;
- Capacity to communicate and support across locations, lines of business, and functions;
- Strong risk & control mindset with a robust presentation & communications sensitivity;
- Ability to work in and navigate an international matrix organization, proven ability to define and deliver on firmwide objectives through leading and managing large scale deliveries;
- Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various businesses and key support functions, at all levels of an organization; knowledge of German and/or French would be a plus;
- Experience in people engagement, within both local and distributed teams;
- Minimum 10 years working experience in financial services or public accounting, ideally with a risk, controls, or regulatory focus;
- Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to take ownership, with curiosity, the desire to challenge and query, able to work independently as well as in a team;
- Ability to communicate results of an analysis through a comprehensive report, by presenting statistics about the data, lists, and/or visuals;
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a similar qualification. Master's Degree or other higher qualification would be desired plus.
