For our department _Finance & Purchasing_
within
General Services, we are looking for a (an):

_VP Finance (M/F/x)_

_Main duties:
_

  • Manage and ensure the proper functioning of the General Accounting, Revenue Accounting and Treasury, Credit Control, and Customer Accounting departments.
  • Be responsible for the organization and management of the staff in the afore mentioned departments.
  • Ensure the monthly closing process and the reliability of the statutory and consolidated financial statements of Luxair and its subsidiaries in Lux GAAP, as well as the IFRS reporting to shareholders at regular intervals.
  • Maintain compliance with VAT declarations and other tax obligations and declarations in Luxembourg and abroad.
  • Develop the budget for the Finance departments and contribute to the monthly budget followup in close collaboration with the Controlling department.
  • Ensure various financial tasks for the company, such as:
  • Hedging for aircraft fuel, CO2, electricity, and foreign currency operations;
  • Regular cash flow statements, ensure liquidity, working capital requirements, financing and investments management;
  • Tax management, forecasts, reports;
  • Pension plans and related issues;
  • Insurance and reinsurance;
  • Monitoring annual accounts and financial performance of group participations;
  • Potential mergers, acquisitions, spinoffs, or reorganizations.
  • Establish and ensure the implementation of internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and minimize revenue losses and fraud risks.
  • Manage the interaction with internal and external auditors.
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of financial objectives and improvements in financial policies, procedures, and processes
  • Evaluate the opportunity and benefits of task automation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as investors, creditors, banks, regulators, and other financial institutions.
  • Perform and/or supervise various administrative tasks as needed by the Finance and Controlling departments.
  • Gérer et assurer le bon fonctionnement des départements General Accounting, Revenue Accounting et Treasury, Credit Control and Customer Accounting
- Être responsable de l'organisation et de la gestion du personnel des départements précités

  • Assurer le processus de clôture mensuel et la fiabilité des états financiers statutaires et consolidés de Luxair et des filiales en Lux GAAP et les reportings IFRS aux actionnaires à intervalles réguliers
  • Maintenir le respect des obligations en matière de déclarations de TVA et autres obligations et déclarations fiscales au Luxembourg et à l'étranger
- Élaborer le budget des départements Finance et contribuer au suivi budgétaire mensuel en étroite collaboration avec le département Controlling

  • Assurer les tâches diverses financières de l'entreprise telles que:
  • la couverture du carburant pour avions, du CO2, de l'électricité et des opérations en devises étrangères
- l'établissement d'état de trésorerie à intervalles réguliers, les liquidités, le besoin en fonds de roulement, la gestion des financements et les investissements
- la gestion fiscale, les prévisions, les rapports
- les plans de retraite et les questions connexes,
- l'assurance et la réassurance
- le suivi des comptes annuels et de la performance financière des participations du groupe
- des éventuelles opérations de fusions, acquisitions, scissions ou réorganisations
- Établir et assurer l'implémentation des contrôles internes afin de garantir la protection des actifs de l'entreprise et minimiser les pertes de revenus et risques de fraude

  • Gérer l'interaction avec les auditeurs internes et externes
  • Développer et veiller à l'implémentation d'objectifs financiers et à l'améliorations des politiques, procédures et processus financiers
- Évaluer l'opportunité et les avantages de l'automatisation des tâches

  • Construire et maintenir des relations avec les parties prenantes telles que les investisseurs, les créanciers, les banques, les régulateurs et autres institutions financières
  • Effectuer et/ou superviser diverses tâches administratives en fonction des besoins des départements Finance et Controlling

_Minimum required criteria :
_

  • Hold a higher education diploma in finance (Bachelor's degree +5) or a Bachelor's degree +3 with equivalent experience in Finance, including Accounting, Treasury, and Controlling.
  • At least 8 years of experience.
  • Experience in team management, project management, and organizational methods.
  • Good knowledge of LuxGAAP, IFRS, and applicable tax rules in Luxembourg.
  • Analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sharp business sense.
  • Proficiency in common office tools.
  • Proven ability to handle new ideas and creative solutions.
  • Fluency in English and French. Knowledge of Luxembourgish, German, and any other language will be considered an asset.
