Vp - Securities Services Control Manager

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

This role sits within the front office Controls Management team in Luxembourg or Dublin, primarily supporting the Depositary Services business within the Securities Services business. This is an impactful and high-paced role covering a significant business function within JPMSE, with a key initial focus on the services provided by JPMSE within its local and regional policies and regulations. Depositary Services is currently offered from 14 locations across EMEA and thus the successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues from other EMEA locations that support this business as well as other Securities Services businesses. As an Applicant, you will be expected to aspire to personally owning a complex agenda, engaging with multiple internal and external partners at all levels, and supporting the presentation of activity and progress to senior management on a regular basis. acting as the local controls coordination point/advocate for all Securities Services business lines present in these locations.

**Job responsibilities**
- Acting as trusted front office control advisor whilst representing front office interest’s vis-a-vis control/regulatory initiatives and requirements with relevant business and functional partners
- Supporting the execution and implementations of business control priorities and strategy and assisting with front office supervisory management and execution
- Reporting on the implementation of control and risk governance for the business
- Representing the control management organisation
- Identifying and remediating control gaps either directly, or in partnership with functional partners
- Preparing for internal and external regulatory & control meetings/reviews/audits
- Supporting issue management via tactical issue handling clear tracking and visibility of issues through root cause analysis to control weakness closure and developing issue trend and root cause analysis.
- Maintenance of the completeness, accuracy and substantiation of the businesses’ risk and controls self assessment in CORE. Including, guiding the business through timely and thorough completion of issues and action plans.

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Experience in Securities Services with a good understanding of Depositary Services, Global Custody and their client base.
- The ability to partner with diverse teams to help drive efficiency and process enhancement.
- analytical, problem solving & process re-engineering skills.
- Strong organizational skills - ability to manage & prioritize multiple tasks within deadlines.

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Ability to question and probe activity/functions within Securities Services across Operations, Technology, Product and other functions.
- Experience of project management with good oral and written communication skills.
- A background or knowledge of local regulatory regimes/obligations would be beneficial
