Fund Accounting Aif Team Manager

- The Team Manager is part of the Management Committee within the Funds Accounting Unit. His main task is to head a Funds Accounting Team, which means he is responsible for the quality of service offered to Clients on his scope of Funds, out of which the management of the day-to-day NAVs production for the Alternative Funds, in an accurate and timely manner but also through maintaining processes, procedures and controls aligned with the best practices of other FA teams (4-eyes principle, roles & responsibilities, audit, testing, project management).**Your role**:

- Key responsabilities:
- Monitor the performance of the team and the efficiency of the operational workflows.
- Plan NAV production and coordinate teamwork.
- Maintain procedures, working instructions, checklists and presentations up to date and lead the enforcement of policies and controls.
- Ensure that the internal and external clients and / or auditors queries and escalations are handled in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Foster a « One team » spirit within the Unit and facilitate top-down and bottom-up communication channels via One-to-One, Team Meeting and Management Committee.
- Conduct regular review of NAVs exceptions to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of documents by the Team
- Participate in the Management Committee of the Funds Accounting Unit.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks pertaining to funds activity.
- Keep abreast of regulatory and technology changes, assist in the enhancement of funds accounting systems and operational end-to-end model.
- Resolve escalated issues, provide information and support to all the accountants on the team and be available to assist them as needed.
- Attend Client’s Meeting or Visit
- Act as back-up of Head of Fund Accounting Department when required

**Your profile**:

- Education:
- Level: Master Degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance
- Number of years : 10 years
- Type of experience : in funds accounting and/or Multifonds
- Knowledge / technical skills:
- Strong experience and knowledge of Alternative Funds.
- In-depth understanding of Fund Administration and the relationships with the different stakeholders.
- Experience in NAV calculations and NAV production
- Good knowledge of financial products and their valuation
- Knowledge of foreign currency hedging and asset pooling techniques a plus
- Knowledge of Multifonds accounting software an asset.
