**Lead Analyst, Depositary Bank - The Bank of New York Mellon SA/NV, the Luxembourg Branch (70617)
**Position Summary**
Contributes to maintain and strengthen the depositary bank monitoring program while developing controls, reviewing processes and procedures, sharing best practices and regulatory updates across the depositary bank.

**Duties**:

- Act as leader of the team responsible for making sure that duties are completed
- Review and monitor Real Estate and Private Equity transactions
- Perform controls related to ownership verification
- Oversee daily oversight checks on the Depositary clients as assigned and report findings to the Manager
- Support the implementation of new business or products
- Follow the procedures and controls designed to ensure activity is performed according to regulatory requirements
- Pro-active participation in team meetings and providing training to other team members
- Identify and implement specific value added controls
- Work with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate completion of reporting
- Support the implementation of new business or products within the on-boarding team by anticipating the needs for covering our duties.
- Follow, and enhance the procedures and controls designed to ensure activity is performed according to regulatory requirements
- Execute/reviews administrative duties within the team

**Qualifications**
- Any additional qualifications in financial markets will be a plus. (Masters, Diploma, etc)
- 5 years of experience in the Fund Industry is required - experience in Real Estate and Private Equity transaction monitoring is essential
- Perfect command of English. Any additional languages would be considered as an advantage
- Proficient command of Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of AIFM regulations.
- Strong analytical, communication and organization skills (both verbal and written)
- Process Improvement experiences/ LEAN skills e.g. to design/establish new detailed processes, documentation skills, e.g. procedures/manual
- Ability to analyse data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis;
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills;
- Ability to identify logical and innovative solutions to complex problems;
- Self-motivated, innovative and analytical.
