**Head of Regulatory Change Management**

**Reports to the Group Head of Centres of Excellence**

The purpose of this role is to design, oversee and lead the Regulatory Change Framework for the Group and maintain it supporting the Businesses. That also covers the regulatory watch.

We are looking for an Associated Director - with a clear preference for someone having operated with or within a leading service provider or consultancy firm.

As a new role, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sound experience and focus in this field to have an impact in helping and supporting our Businesses to drive and implement the different local regulatory change requirements in a fast evolving environment.

**Key responsibilities**

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Regulatory change execution:

- Design and maintain the Group regulatory change Framework
- Define the practical impacts of changing regulation and determine potential strategic and operational responses
- Conduct requirements gathering, data analysis, and synthesis to develop business requirements aligned to the letter and the spirit of the law
- Running working groups as required
- Lead and drive the implementation of large market mandatory and regulatory projects in total collaboration with Compliance, Legal and Risk
- Lead problem solving and data driven decision making inclusive of process design, re-engineering, and target state modelling
- Conduct post-implementation reviews in order to draw out lessons learnt and ensure benefit realization where relevant
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and quality standards

Additional Responsibilities in terms of Regulatory Change Programme Management:

- Act as a primary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives
- Communicate, influence, and negotiate to mobilize the necessary resources
- Create a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control
- Ensure clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for key program/project roles
- Integrate knowledge of end-to-end business process into Regulatory change program planning and decision making
- Develop, maintain and report on an overall integrated delivery and execution plan
- Participate in strategic and horizontal activities

Regulatory watch
- Provide strong leadership, working with the leadership team and other key stakeholders to shape and develop the overall understanding of the upcoming regulatory changes cross the Group.
- Establish a regulatory watch framework designed to identify emerging risks and report details to Compliance, Risk, Legal and the relevant businesses
- Ensure that current regulatory requirements are fully understood and embedded across the Business, including the performance of control testing.
- Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate completion of regulatory analysis returns, working with stakeholders across the business.
- Ensure a data driven and intelligence led control environment, providing ongoing assurance to senior management of the accuracy, consistency, relevance and integrity of data used to support oversight.
- Monitor all related KPIs via accurate, transparent Management Information, responding to any identified operational, control and process issues effectively and reporting to relevant stakeholders.

Reporting
- Preparation of written and verbal reports to Boards, Senior Management and externally where required
- An organised and proactive approach is essential for the role. Responsibility of the accuracy of Management Information (MI) for this area is a must.

- Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that communication is clear and best practice approaches are identified, shared and, where appropriate adopted.

**Skills, knowledge, expertise**:

- Strong presentation skills: articulate the understanding of a complex piece of regulation by others
- Proven experience delivering challenging risk and regulatory change to demanding stakeholders
- Significant experience working in project / change management
- Previous Funds operations / regulatory projects background advantageous
- Business partnering skills with individuals across the organisation
- Desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Experience in improving processes and increasing efficiency.
