**JOB PURPOSE**

Provide assistance to our UCITS and AIF clients, our Management Company/AIFM and the Conducting Persons in the context of their investment fund/management company mandates, to analyse, assess and evaluate fund valuations. Work, at a high level, together with leading names in Europe, namely fund promoters, investment Managers, depositary banks, Fund administrators, internal and external auditors.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist and substitute the Head of Valuation in his/hers duties and management of the department.
- Assist the Head of Valuation in leading and overseeing the valuation process for a portfolio of alternative investment funds, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Assist with on-boarding of new AIFs and documenting the valuation setup in cooperation with various internal and external participants.
- Work closely with the Head of Valuation and cross-functional teams including fund operations, risk management, compliance, and legal team to address valuation-related matters.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of robust valuation policies, procedures, and controls to ensure best-in-class practices and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Perform and assist with initial and periodic due diligence on external valuers, valuation appraisers and service providers in the valuation process.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and updates pertaining to valuation practices and assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements such as AIFMD, UCITS, and other applicable valuation related regulations.
- Conduct valuation analysis, including pricing of liquid instruments, complex financial instruments and illiquid assets, and assist in preparing detailed valuation reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and support valuation-related audits and due diligence exercises conducted by external auditors, regulators, and investors under the guidance of the Head of Valuation.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and enhancement of valuation methodologies to support the Head of Valuation in driving efficiency and accuracy.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- You hold a University Master's degree in Economics, Finance or Mathematics. A specialization in quantitative economics will be considered as an advantage.
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in valuation within the asset management industry is preferred, with a focus on alternative investment funds.
- Strong understanding of valuation principles, methodologies, and techniques for a wide range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments.
- Strong knowledge of quantitative finance, risk management methods and financial instruments.
- Profound knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to valuation of AIFMDs and UCITS.
- Professional certification preferred, CFA, FRM CAIA, CFI certifications or any valuation certificate.
- Good analytical, organizational, writing and communication skills.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English; any other language will be considered as an asset.
