Description
Founded in 1856, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) is the oldest multi-business bank in the Grand Duchy. It has always played an active role in the main stages of development of the Luxembourg economy. It currently operates in retail, private and corporate banking, as well as on financial markets. Employing more than 2,000 people, BIL is present in the financial centres of Luxembourg, Switzerland and China.
**Responsibilities**:
Within the Financial Markets line:
**1. Governance / Support: In line with the Bank’s strategy**:
a. Be the main business support contact for Financial Markets;
b. Provide direction, support and coordination to functional teams, internal and external partners and providers;
c. Define, coordinate and ensure implementation of the required change management plan to ensure that the project’s deliverables are efficiently integrated in the existing and target environment;
d. Propose innovation and constant improvement of tools, process and market practices;
e. Actively collaborate to the Monthly Operational Committee;
f. Keep the department’s procedures and policies up to date;
g. Define, implement and monitor financial budgets and FTE resources.
**2. Regulations**:
a. Be an expert and a referent in regulations impacting Financial Markets by ensuring active regulatory watch in coordination with the Supervisory & Regulatory and Legal departments;
b. Analyze and assess the impacts of the new regulations on Financial Markets activities and define the actions to be taken to comply.
**3. Projects/business analyse**:
a. Drive the analysis of business ideas by challenging them regarding their strategic alignment and business case;
b. Understand in depth the content of projects and be able to propose technical and financial alternatives. Understand the implications of regulatory texts;
c. Manage the delivery of Financial Markets projects or projects partially impacting the department;
d. Pro-actively take decisions or seek approval to ensure the project stays on track
e. Constantly monitor and report on project progress to Project Steering Committees, Senior Management and the relevant Portfolio Governance Body.
Must Have Requirements
- Sector of studies_
- Law, Financial Markets
- Level of education_
- BAC + 5
- Languages_
- French and English
- Banking technical knowledge_
- Expertise in regulatory topics (SRB, SFDR, BMR, EMIR ) is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of financial products.
- Dealing room environment knowledge and / or project management skills are a plus.
- IT knowledge_
- Good knowledge on platform and IT solutions used in a dealing room (Bloomberg, Reuters, Ullink,) are a plus.
- Other knowledge_
- Curiosity, resilience, positive mindset and autonomy are mandatory.
- Efficiency in problem resolution and coordination.
- Multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Capacity to understand and support business teams
- Analytical capacity.
- Type & years of experience_
- Min 5/7 years of experience in regulatory topics / dealing room environment / financial market risks / Compliance
