To sustain the company´s growth, we are currently looking for an Assistant Financial Controller (M/F/x) for a permanent contract in order to work directly within a team of 3 people for the Financial team.
To sustain the company´s growth, we are currently looking for an Assistant Financial Controller (M/F/x) for a permanent contract in order to work directly within a team of 3 people for the Financial team.
Our client is a hotel, part of a well-known Group, located in Dommeldange, in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
**In your role of Assistant Controller, you will**:
Produce internal financial reports in an accurate and timely manner for the daily work of the Management Team
Produce timely financial statements and statistics as required by head office and by law
Be responsible for reconciliation and do the check of the accounts before month closing
Support all duties and procedures of the Team Members in Accounting
Manage cash flow in an efficient manner
Represent the Finance function during the absence of the Financial Controller.
Be in charge of payroll tax to be received each month
Train and develop the team and succession planning in the absence of the Financial Controller
Build external relationships with colleagues in the area
Ensure that the Executive and Management Teams have financial awareness
Assist the Financial Controller in budgeting and forecasting of annual profit, capital, cash and other short-term plans
Report according to on the actual performance compared to budget and/or forecast with appropriate comments explaining the cause of variances, so that immediate action can be taken to achieve planned or forecast performance
Ensure accurate bookkeeping and that revenue and cost are booked in the correct time period.
Ensure accruals and provisions are booked accordingly and calculated from time to time if the amount is still correct
Analyse the Food and Beverage Cost
Ensure that over & short, rebate book, cash sales clearance, guest ledger and restaurant guest ledger are reconciled accordingly by night auditors and appropriate action has been taken
**Experience Requirements**:
You hold a Bachelor degree in accounting, Finance or Economics or similar qualification
You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the fields of accounting
You have strong knowledge of national accounting principles and financial reporting practices
You are proficient in preparing consolidated accounts
You have excellent skills in Excel
You are fluent in English and have good communication skills in German and/or French
You have the ability to provide efficient, timely and courteous service to our clients
You always take a solution oriented approach to resolving problems
