Business Analyst for The Catapult: Future

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) and to drive real change in the financial Inclusion ecosystem.

This is a prominent role at the LHoFT managing a key initiative for the Luxembourg Financial Centre.

What is the role?

The Business Analyst will report to the LHoFT’s Senior Programme Manager. She/He will work specifically on the Catapult: Future Foundations Programme Mutualisation The Future Foundations Programme aims to work with senior stakeholders from across the financial industry and financial services associations to prioritise, specify and initiate the development of utility-like solutions that can create value for a multitude of financial services actors - solutions that provide mutualised benefits. Examples of such solutions could include certain elements of the Customer Due Diligence and onboarding process, regulatory reporting, centralised data warehousing for sustainable finance, amongst other challenges and opportunities.

**The responsibilities are as follows**:
**Working closely with the LHoFT’s Senior Programme Manager**:
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business process owners, product managers, project managers, and developers, to ensure the solution meets business needs and requirements

Deliver the business and technical requirements specifications for the required solutions, liaising with the relevant financial sector stakeholders

Clarify requirements, critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

Create and maintain requirements specifications, create standard templates, using natural language

Collaborate with technical teams to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability, performance needs, and other non-functional requirements

Contribute to development of test plans and test cases to ensure the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements

Identify risks and issues related to the solution and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans

Reporting regularly on planned actions and achieving appropriate results

Protecting the LHoFT brand and identity, ensuring consistency across all external touchpoints

The person we are looking for will likely have the following attributes:
Bachelor degree in economics, business or IT is an advantage

A very good knowledge for Fintech, Microfinance & Funding

Demonstrable execution capabilities

Experience working on mutualized solutions for financial services companies is a plus

Strong understanding of financial concepts, products, and services

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a business analyst in the finance sector

Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the financial sector

Agility - ability to attend to new priorities quickly as required

Analytical and diligent

Excellent writing skills

Fluency in English both oral and written, French would be an advantage
