**Reception Desk Manager**
Permanent Role
Full-time (7.30am-4.30pm)
**Job purpose**:
The Reception Desk Manager will lead the team in charge of the School Reception and
Extra-curricular Activities administration, ensuring welcoming, informing and efficient contact
with the School for staff, students, parents and visitors.
**Main tasks**:
**Team Management**:
- Lead and train staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Delegate tasks and monitor performance to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Investigate possibilities to increase efficiency of the department.
- Create Key performance indicators that reflect the Department's many activities, successes and challenges.
**Overall responsibility for Reception Desk and Extra-curricular Activities responsibilities**:
- Ensure appropriate measures are in place to safeguard students.
- Be familiar with crisis situations management plan.
- Be part of the team that greets and assists students, parents, staff and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and that manages calls, incoming mail, lost property and deliveries (possible need to work until 7pm or bank holidays a few days per year to support evening events or exams).
- Liaise with Primary and Secondary offices and Events Coordinator regarding upcoming events and school trips.
**School Buses**:
- Coordinate school buses and schedules, ensuring timely communication with bus drivers, bus supervisors, parents, students and staff.
**Compliance and Policies**:
- Ensure adherence to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and data protection.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
**Job specifications**:
This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, a calm and flexible attitude, attention to detail and the ability to manage a team in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
- English - proficient level
- French or German - To be able to answer calls from contractors etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers).
