TRAINEE - ASSISTANT - FX TRADER MFS TRADING DESK (M/F) (JOB NUMBER: LUX022162) **_BNP Paribas Securities Services_**_, a subsidiary of the BNP Paribas group, is one of Europe's leading providers of custody services for securities._ - The Luxembourg branch plays a major part in its operations, offering clients high value-added services extending from custody to securities lending, fund administration, performance measurement and ratings, and bond issuance services._ - To support its current growth, BNP Paribas Securities Services is looking for a:_ **Trainee : Assistant - FX Trader MFS Trading Desk (M/F)** 5 month - You must provide proof of an internship agreement covering the entire duration of the assignment_ **CONTEXT & ENVIRONEMENT** Your internship will be within the Market & Financing Services (MFS) department, in the FOREX trading room of BNP Paribas Securities Services Luxembourg. Market and Financing Services (MFS) objective is to offer BNP’s custody customers specific answers to their needs in managing market, credit and liquidity risks. The main services offered by MFS Luxembourg are services relating to the FOREX (Foreign exchange) market, and Passive Currency Overlay. MFS thus offers its clients foreign exchange products (spot, foreign exchange swap and forwards), and PCO. You will be working alongside the FX Trading team under the supervision of the Head of Trading Desk. **YOUR MISSION** - Assist Sales-Traders in processing transactions and ensure the "4 eyes" principle in the preparation, administrative processing and follow-up of orders processed by the FX trading desk. - Help to process orders under the best conditions of quality, reliability and deadlines while respecting internal control rules and procedures within BNP and MFS. - Segregation of tasks in accordance with internal control rules - Careful reconciliation of all operations and traceability of operations - Verification and validation of transactions according to the "4 eyes" principle - Quality of execution of transactions for customers and counterparties - Possibility of self-employment within the limit of a defined mandate - Lead / Participate in certain process improvement projects: Analysis, Project management, Implementation, Coordination, etc. Products concerned: FX products (Spot, FWD and Swaps) **Your Profile**: - Bac +5 student from an Engineering school or University (preferably with a Market Finance specialization) **Technical skills**: - If possible, have knowledge of: - Securities & Financial Products businesses (Forex, Money Market, Dealing Services) - Understanding of risks (market, credit, liquidity and operational) - Administrative processing of market transactions and understanding of the accounting treatment of market transactions Excellent knowledge of Excel & VBA and be able to write/manage medium/advanced level Macros. Knowledge of computer and information systems used in a trading room is a plus. Ability to work in groups and according to the opening hours of European markets. **Language**: - French and English mandatory.
