**Investment Oversight Senior Specialist**

**Who we’re looking for**

A position has opened in our Investment Oversight (“IO”) team.

The Investment Oversight Senior Specialist has responsibility for assisting the IO Team in the oversight of the portfolio management delegated functions and for performing due diligence on external and internal investment managers and related activities. He/she will also participate to the monitoring of the inhouse portfolio management function.

**The team**

The Investment Oversight team is made up of 4 persons located in Luxembourg. The team spirit and willingness to learn is a strong feature of the team members and, as apart of the broader Product Services area, we strive to ensure a good spirit and collaboration with the rest of the organisation.

**What you’ll do**
- Control and contribute to strengthening and developing new processes on oversight of the portfolio management delegated function in line with the CSSF Circular 18/698
- Conduct the oversight of the EMIR, SFTR, MMFR and AIFMD reporting
- Conduct initial, on-going and thematic investment manager due diligence for both traditional and alternative investment managers, including participation at onsite visits
- Perform ongoing monitoring of the EU domiciled funds and mandates managed by portfolio managers based in EU Schroders’ branches
- Assist, establish and maintain processes, procedures and workflows for Investment Oversight
- Solve issues with regards to the investment management of the funds
- Ensure collaboration with 2nd line of defence functions (Compliance and Risk Management)
- Ensure all controls are adhered to and exceptions are escalated in a timely manner
- Contribute to Management and Board Reporting

**The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need**
- Strong knowledge of the Luxembourg Fund Industry framework and UCITS/AIF requirements
- Strong knowledge of the portfolio management function
- Good understanding of EMIR, SFTR, MMFR, AIFMD reporting framework, including a good understanding of derivatives
- Good understanding of asset management operational models (funds, segregated mandates)
- Good understanding of investment strategies and instrument types
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Excellent communication and organisational skills

**The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help**
- Experience in due diligence or oversight management would be an edge
- Experience in regulatory reporting would also be an edge
