Senior Financial Controller

**Your role**

As the Senior Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in guiding the financial direction of our organization by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data across our entities. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), your extensive knowledge of financial management principles, sharp analytical skills, and ability to collaborate with the FP&A department and various teams across the organization will be instrumental to your success in this role.

**Your key tasks**

**Financial Management**: Work with the Head of Accounting to oversee all financial operations, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

**Financial Reporting and Analysis**: Prepare the financial input to the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial performance, highlight trends, and make recommendations for improvement.

**Budgeting and Forecasting Assistance**: Assist and provide input to the FP&A department in the budgeting and forecasting processes. Collaborate with FP&A and department heads to develop financial plans, and monitor progress and changes.

**Internal Controls and Compliance**: Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies. Develop and implement new procedures to enhance the workflow and financial governance of the department.

**Regulatory Reporting**: Coordinate the preparation and submission of regulatory reporting. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.

**Strategic Financial Planning**: Collaborate with executive management and the FP&A department in the development and execution of strategic financial plans and initiatives.

**Audit Assistance**: Support the CFO and the finance team during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and answering queries related to financial management.

**Liaison with FP&A**: Act as a key liaison between the finance department and FP&A, ensuring seamless integration and alignment in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.

**You have these claims to fame**:

- Minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role;
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and reporting requirements;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail;
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Experience with accounting software and systems;
- CPA or similar certification (e.g., CMA, CGA, ACCA);
- Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or MBA;
- Experience working in the dynamics of a scale-up company;
- Experience and knowledge of international accounting standards;
- Proficiency in automation and process improvement in finance and accounting.
