Job Description

1. Custody Service Tax Expert: Assistant / Assistant Manager

  • Custody tax operation and product (RAS, Quick Refund, Standard refund etc.)
  • Full life cycle of customer on-boarding tasks.
  • Plan and perform periodical customer KYC tasks.
  • Sub-custodian on-boarding due diligence.
  • Market information collection and distribution (network).
  • Plan and perform periodical due diligence tasks of Sub-custodians and suppliers.
  • Maintain relationship with suppliers and manage projects with suppliers.
  • Centralize and maintain up to date internal/external account information.
  • Centralize and maintain up to date products information and documentation.
  • Lead or participate in new product development projects.  
  • Perform daily reconciliation.  
  • Perform daily controls and monitoring tasks.
  • Brokerage service daily middle office tasks. 
  • Statistics.
  • Internal and external reporting.
  • Legal documentation review and periodical review.
  • Cooperate with other teams and/or functions in various projects.  

2. Custody Service: Assistant / Assistant Manager

  • Safekeeping customer assets.
  • Reconcile securities and cash positions in an accurate timely manner.
  • Collect and execute clients' cash and security instructions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Follow up cash and security transaction settlement and resolve any issues.
  • A to Z process of Corporate Actions, Proxy voting and/or Income events.
  • A to Z process of Global Custodian tax services such as customer tax profile setup, certificates collection, forms, exemption (relief at source), reclaim (quick refund, standard refund), etc.
  • Contribute to internal cross-training and operational procedure setup.
  • Continually update knowledge of industry standards and developments to communicate to clients.
  • Other tasks assigned by team manager and/or department head.   
  • Support customers on boarding, KYC, handle/follow up on queries plus marketing and sales. 
  • Participate/Manage settlement automation project and other projects in the pipeline.
Qualifications

1. Custody Service Tax Expert: Assistant / Assistant Manager

Profile (Technical Skills):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Banking or Business-Related Studies
  • Preferred but obliged to have minimum 2 years of working experience in custodian banks.

    Experience in Custody tax operation and product (RAS, Quick Refund, Standard refund etc.), Network, Product Management, Product Design, Treasury Middle Office, Broker/Dealer Middle Office, KYC/Account management will be advantages. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Good numerical and IT skills; Expertise in using S.W.I.F.T. Familiar with SQL, Access, Python will be added value.
  • In-depth knowledge of global custodian industry.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following global custodian operations areas: Settlement, Corporate Actions or Tax.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Fund Depositary Services will be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is essential. Good expression and writing skills in English.; Chinese and other languages will be an advantage.

2. Custody Service: Assistant / Assistant Manager

    Experience in Fund Depositary Services/Fund administration, Network, Broker/Dealer will be advantages.

  • Good numerical and IT skills; Expertise in using S.W.I.F.T. Familiar with SQL, Access, Python will be added value.
  • In-depth knowledge of global custodian industry.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following global custodian operations areas: Settlement, Corporate Actions or Tax.
  • Knowledge in Olympic System is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Chinese and other languages will be an advantage.
