Position Overview.

The Back Office Payments & Securities Officer supports the Bank's operational activities related to payments processing and securities administration. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant execution of transactions in accordance with Lux-embourg regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and international banking standards.

The position offers exposure to a wide range of banking operations within a structured and supervised environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in processing domestic and international payment transactions (SEPA, SWIFT, cross-border payments) for Private and Corporate Banking clients.
• Support securities back-office activities, including settlement, custody administration, reconciliations, and basic corporate actions processing.
• Perform daily cash and securities reconciliations and escalate discrepancies when identified.
• Ensure proper documentation and record keeping in line with internal policies and audit requirements.
• Support compliance with AML/CFT, sanctions screening, and internal control procedures.
• Liaise with internal departments (Front Office, Compliance, Risk, Accounting) for operational follow-ups.
• Assist in the preparation of operational reports and support internal and external audits when required.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements under supervision.

Your profile:

• Basic knowledge of payment systems (SEPA, SWIFT).
• Understanding of securities settlement and custody processes is a plus.
• Good command of MS Excel and standard office tools; familiarity with core banking systems is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a structured and regulated environment.
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Team-oriented mindset with clear and professional communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Up to 3 years of experience in back-office operations within a bank or financial institution, preferably in payments and/or securities.
• Initial exposure to Private and/or Corporate Banking operations is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in English; French and/ or Italian will be considered as an asset
