Baloise Luxembourg combines the strength of a solid European insurance group with a dynamic and agile culture. Within our International Non-Life department, we are building a new Pan-European business branch operating under the Freedom of Service (FoS) regime. Our ambition: bring innovative insurance solutions to B2B partners across Europe — from MGAs and brokers to corporate clients seeking fronting solutions for their captives. As Claims Manager, you will play a key role in structuring and supervising the entire claims process for our international operations. You will ensure that claims are handled efficiently, compliantly, and in line with Baloise's best practices — a cornerstone of our competitiveness and client trust. You will work within a multidisciplinary international team operating in start-up and agile mode, reporting directly to the Head of International Non-Life. What to Expect- Coordinate claims processes with our partners (MGAs, brokers, TPAs).
- Conduct onboarding, due diligence, and audits of third-party administrators (TPAs) or partners' claims teams.
- Oversee claims management across all phases — coverage, investigation, compensability, evaluation/reserving, recovery, and resolution.
- Collaborate with pricing and reporting actuaries to analyze claims data, detect trends, and assess the impact of product changes.
- Collaborate with product managers to align claims processes with product design, supporting launches and monitoring the existing portfolio.
- Resolve any issues arising from claims, working closely with the TPA
- Perform regular audits on partners' claims and support the handling of major or complex claims.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of claims processes and best practices.
- Review and validate claims payments when necessary.
- Produce monthly claims KPIs and contribute to dashboard preparation.
- Several years of experience in claims management, ideally in a cross-border or FoS context.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage provisions, and claims handling processes.
- Exposure to multiple business lines in non-life (Property, Casualty, Motor, Liability, etc.) and relevant European regulations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (working language); additional European languages (French, German, Spanish) are an asset.
- You combine customer orientation, professional rigor, and proactive mindset with agility in a fast-evolving environment.
