Our client is a leading global player in private market investments. Due to an exciting period of change and transformation within the company, they are now seeking an AIFM Oversight Officer to join their team in Luxembourg on a permanent basis.
The AIFM Oversight Officer will take responsibility for the following duties:
- Prepare, review, and document due diligence on delegated portfolio managers and Depositary Banks
- Oversee Portfolio Managers and Depositaries by reviewing investor reports and KPIs
- Implement and enhance processes with the Portfolios Managers and Depositaries
- Ongoing portfolio management oversight
- Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting to the Management Committee meetings and board of managers (AIFM, Funds, etc)
- Implement and enhance the pre-transaction (new deals, divestments) review process
- First point of contact in the AIFM for all queries related to Portfolio management and depositaries
- Ad hoc project management
- Building relationships with departments who are responsible for activities that will influence changes around funds to anticipate and plan for future work
- Participate in re-engineering initiatives to drive enhancements to function - especially in relation to open ended funds monitoring process
The AIFM Oversight Officer will meet the following criteria:
- Experience working with Depositary banks and / or Portfolio management operations
- Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements in respect of AIFs, including Part II (FCP, SICAV), RAIF and limited partnerships (SCSp) and the AIFM (e.g., circ. CSSF 18/698)
- Experience dealing with fund services providers including depositaries, portfolio managers, fund administrators, transfer agents
- Proven experience in service reporting, KPI monitoring, service calls and management reporting
- Proven ability in developing structured processes, design of operational controls and drafting due diligence questionnaires around fund depositary and portfolio management oversight
- Excellent and strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English
- A track record of continuous improvement
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar discipline
