Senior Accountant

**This role is a 6months fixed term - contract covering a maternity leave until end of July.**

In the role of Senior Accountant, you are responsible for supporting the accurate preparation of the financial statements, supervising, tracking and evaluating the day-to-day activities. The remit of the controllership function is to capture the economic reality of the company’s financial performance.

**What you will be doing**:

- Responsible for daily managing of the financial accounting statements and meeting the regulatory obligations including posting daily journal entries as necessary.
- Supporting the monthly and yearly financial statements and year end audit process for the LUX entity
- Maintaining the group accounting manuals to ensure compliance with all accounting rules
- Ensure the reliability of data by supporting the monthly group financial reportings with sufficient balance sheet and P&L analysis
- Supporting issuing periodic information for legal and regulatory reportings including financial and own funds positions (CSSF)
- Preparation, reconciliation and filing of the monthly VAT accounts
- Supporting annual VAT and corporate income tax filings together with external tax advisors
- Work on Group Accounting topics

**You'll need to have**:

- University degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in an international group, consultancy or an audit company
- Profound know-how and experience in IFRS and LUX GAAP accounting standards
- Solid tax knowledge
- Good communication skills and ability to work with remote teams
- Strong analytical and presentational skills with the ability to work with large data sets
- Excel skills (advanced)
- Proficiency in English is essential
- MS Dynamics experience (not a must)
