In the context of succession planning, the LIH is looking to recruit for the Finance department, a Lux Gaap Senior Accountant, she/he should have in-depth knowledge of the following areas:
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting
- Fixed-assets and grants
- VAT
- Perfect knowledge of LUX Gaap accounting principles
- Complex Analytical Accounting
- Cash Management
**Key Accountabilities**
The Lux Gaap Senior Accountant will initially manage:
- Customers invoicing based on contracts
- Prepaid charges
- Analytical maintenance of the Institute accounts
- Supervision of primary accounting entries
- Preparation of VAT declarations
- Reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of legal reporting
- Preparation of the annual accounts of the Institute
The Lux Gaap Senior Accountant will also be:
- The point of contact for projects and statutory audits falling within their area of responsibility
The Lux Gaap Senior Accountant will provided backup for:
- Management of fixed assets
- Accounting and reconciliation of salaries/timesheets
- Cash management
- Invoicing for customers and suppliers
Succession planning:
In a second phase, the Lux Gaao Senior Accountant will be required to take on additional responsibilities such as overseeing analytical accounting, ad-hoc projects (ERP), and supervising the activities of the accounting team.
**Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Higher education in accounting (Bac+3)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Luxembourg, ideally within a public institution
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex general and analytical accounting
- Excellent command of accounting standards and principles, as well as VAT
- Familiar with one or more management software (ERP)
- Initial experience in team management
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel (advanced level)
- You are autonomous, methodical, and rigorous
- Good deadline management
- You are curious and proactive
- You enjoy working in a team and willingly help your colleagues
- Flexible, you adapt your schedule according to the needs of the service
- Language skills: Perfect command of French and English, both orally and in writing.
