Data Governance and Compliance Specialist

About the Role:
Deutsche Börse Group, a leading exchange organisation and innovative market infrastructure provider, seeks a Data Governance and Compliance Specialist to join their team. As part of the newly established Function, this role will focus on the roll-out of the data governance program across multiple business segments and streams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and continuously improve data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure practical relevance, alignment with industry standards, and regulatory environment.
- Review, align, and continuously improve roles and responsibilities with respect to data governance, ensuring operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate with business lines, data products, and other relevant functions to implement data governance policies across lines of defence.
- Support the design and implementation of measures to track data governance progress and KPIs.
- Report on workstream progress to senior management and DMG stakeholders, as required.

Requirements:
- A solid understanding of data related regulatory and compliance requirements, data governance standards, and practices.
- Relevant work experience in business consultancy or change initiatives, involving policies, concepts, or standards definition.
- Solid understanding of enterprise data management concepts, including data lifecycle management, data modelling, metadata management, data architecture principles, and data quality management.
- Experience in BCBS239 context and/or with data management and governance in big data/data lake environments is an advantage.
