Contract Logistics Operations Manager

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Contract Logistics site in Luxembourg.
- ** Your Responsibilities**:

- You supervise the daily operations in the warehouse by providing guidance to the team and constantly follow-up on daily workload in collaboration with the warehouse and customer service teams;
- Numbers are your playground: you monitor and evaluate daily KPIs, by preparing and analyzing operational reports and provide potential solutions to identified issues;
- You act as interface and translate the customer requirements into your daily operations, by developing workload planning to deliver the highest customer quality;
- You coach your team by defining training needs and setting individual targets and development for your team. Be the manager you wished you had on your first job
- You review financial results and initiate and follow-up corrective actions, pro-actively;
- You actively participate in board meetings: support problem solving by providing guidance, drive continuous improvements projects: put the theory in practice;
- You see thorough the customer’s eyes. You have a deep understanding of our stakeholder’s needs and requirements, you drive and promote excellent customer service experience;
- Define ways to add value to customers’ operation by managing customer requests and changing requirements through initiating and supporting continuous improvement projects.

**Your Skills and Experiences**:

- 3-5 years Logistics or production experience, preferably in a warehousing or Contract Logistics environment;
- Take responsibility and take ownership be a role model for your team and your colleagues;
- Analytical mindset: highly interested in growing the performance, capabilities, ownership and independency of your team and its individuals;
- Studies in Logistics or any other formal background in Logistics;
- First knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, 5S or similar tools;
- First knowledge in ramping up a warehouse or production site;
- Strong affinity with required customer quality standards;
- Innovative thinking and permanent process optimization;
- Very good communication skills in English and French; German would be an asset; all other languages are an advantage;
- Familiar with used IT systems (MS Office, WMS, etc.);
- No constraints regarding travelling.
