Operations Manager

In this crucial leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day 4PL operations for one of KN Integrated Logistics' key clients.
- ** Your Role **:As an Operations Manager, you will be a member of the Integrated Logistics Business Unit and will report directly to the Head of Logistics Control Center. With the support of your subordinate Team Lead(s), you will lead the operations team responsible for the execution of 4PL services such as transportation planning (across all modes), freight settlement, deviation management, and others. You will be responsible for ensuring a high level of team performance in terms of customer excellence and productivity.
- ** Your Responsibilities**:
- Overseeing the day-to-day performance of the operations team and ensuring excellent execution of agreed 4PL services;
- Managing team capacity and skills;
- Supporting team members in resolving more complex issues;
- Actively promoting a continuous improvement mindset and enabling the execution of related initiatives;
- Taking responsibility for the professional development of team members and ensuring high team morale;
- Responding to escalations in a timely and professional manner;
- Ensuring a high level of productivity in coordination with the Head of Logistics Control Center;
- Taking an active role in business meetings with customers, senior management, carriers and third parties.
**Your Skills and Experiences**:
- At least 5 years management experience in Transportation and/or Logistics; pharma knowledge would be a big plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Transportation and/or Logistics;
- Solid experience in road transportation, experience in sea and air is an advantage;
- Experience in managing people functionally and disciplinarily, ability to motivate and lead people under pressure;
- Fluency (written and oral) in English and German;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, high customer-centric mindset.
