**Job Requirements
The Director of Sales reports directly to the General Manager and will manage a team of 6.

We are looking for a strong sales leader with a pro-active systematic sales approach.

This individual will be responsible for developing existing accounts by active relationship building, acquisition of new accounts and growing the market share in the competitive market.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of a challenging and meaningful budget each year
  • To prepare and manage daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales action plans in order to identify opportunities and segments requiring action
  • To review current contracts and align future contracting actions to maximize opportunities and revenues, to outperform the market
  • To analyse the individual performance and booking patterns of accounts and segments and to be able to articulately explain strategies and results to the Executive Team and to the hotel's owning company during monthly business review meetings
  • To lead the Sales & Marketing teams, ensuring that all HR policies are adhered to
  • To understand and interpret STR data to assist with hotel strategies to maximize revenues.
  • To work closely with the Revenue Manager and F&B manager to optimize overall business performance.
  • To build and maintain strong client relationships through personal commitment and delivering excellent customer service
  • Understand competitive landscape, local and feeder markets and changing customer needs to ensure success
  • Maintain excellent relationships with relevant promotional partners
  • Initiate promotional activities such as events, fam trips, site inspections in an innovative way that fits the brand
**Work Experience

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Current experience in leading the sales function with an international branded hotel group, in a city centre location with multiple competitors. A strong Senior Sales Manager ready to step into their first DOS role would also be considered
  • Knowledge of the Strasbourg market would be an advantage
  • Good analytic and negotiation skills
  • Proven leadership skills, selfstarter and result driven
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive and decisive
  • Positive and handson approach and good communicator
  • High level of resilience and selfdiscipline
  • Fluent in French and English
