We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Corporate Counsel (F/M) – Brazilian Law
to join the Legal Department of an international banking institution based in Luxembourg.
This is a senior-level position offering the opportunity to advise on complex cross-border corporate matters involving Brazilian law while supporting the Bank's international business and structuring activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on Brazilian corporate and commercial law matters.
- Support the structuring, implementation and maintenance of corporate and investment structures involving Brazilian entities.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks related to corporate transactions and governance.
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of legal documentation.
- Coordinate with external counsel in Brazil and other jurisdictions where required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Brazilian legal and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with business, compliance, tax and other internal functions on cross-border projects.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Brazil and assess their impact on the Bank's activities. Profile:
- Master's degree in Law (LL.
M. or equivalent).
- At least 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Outstanding expertise in Brazilian Corporate Law and Brazilian Commercial Law is essential.
- Proven experience in investment funds and/or corporate structuring within the Luxembourg market.
- Experience gained in an international law firm, financial institution or asset management environment is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage complex cross-border legal matters independently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). Portuguese is mandatory. French is considered an asset.
