A leading alternative investment platform is seeking an experienced finance professional to join its Luxembourg office and play a key role in overseeing a portfolio of alternative investment structures across private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real asset strategies.
The successful candidate will act as a senior member of the fund finance function, working closely with internal stakeholders, service providers and global teams to ensure the highest standards of financial reporting, governance and operational oversight.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial management of a portfolio of alternative investment vehicles and related holding structures.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared under Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Coordinate and challenge external fund administrators and accounting service providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage annual audits and act as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisers, legal counsel and other external stakeholders.
- Review NAV calculations, capital activity, management fees, carried interest calculations and investor reporting.
- Support fund launches, restructurings, acquisitions and liquidation processes where required.
- Prepare and review materials for board meetings, governance committees and senior management forums.
- Monitor Luxembourg regulatory and reporting obligations across fund and corporate structures.
- Work closely with investment, operations, legal, compliance and treasury teams on cross-functional projects.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and enhancements to financial controls and reporting frameworks.
- Mentor junior team members and provide oversight across internal and outsourced finance functions. Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
- 10+ years of experience within alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate or other AIF structures.
- Experience gained within an asset manager, private markets platform, investment firm or leading fund services provider.
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg regulated and unregulated fund structures.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing service providers and managing relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
- Solid knowledge of Lux GAAP, with exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP considered advantageous.
- Experience managing teams directly or indirectly, including oversight of outsourced accounting and administration functions.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic international environment and interacting with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Previous exposure to governance processes, board reporting and complex fund structures would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and ability to balance technical expertise with commercial awareness.
