Network Security & Infrastructure Engineer

Location:
Luxembourg Type of contract : Freelance Availability : 3 days per week (part-time) Responsibilities Support the administration, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of the enterprise network and security infrastructure. Troubleshoot network and security incidents and provide Level 2 support to internal users and IT teams. Manage and maintain Cisco enterprise networking environments, including switches, Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Cisco ISE, and Cisco Catalyst Center. Administer Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls, including remote access VPN solutions. Support and maintain F5 Web Application Firewall (WAF) and MobileIron (Ivanti) MDM solutions. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLAN, and wireless network environments. Investigate and resolve connectivity, VPN, Wi-Fi, and authentication issues. Contribute to network monitoring, logging, operational documentation, and continuous service improvement. Collaborate with the IT Operations team to maintain a reliable, secure, and efficient infrastructure. Profile Proven experience in enterprise network and security operations. Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco networking technologies (switching, WLC, Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center). Experience administering Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls, including VPN technologies. Knowledge of F5 WAF and MobileIron (Ivanti) MDM is an advantage. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking, routing, switching, VLANs, wireless technologies, and network security. Experience providing Level 2 technical support in an enterprise environment. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an operations team. Interested in this opportunity?
