Although some project details are still confidential or are being finalized by the client, we're already speaking with contractors who may be interested in assignments in Luxembourg.

Network Security & Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network Security & Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain its enterprise network and security infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and operational continuity of client's network environment while providing Level 2 support to internal users and IT team. The role is mainly about operational support and end-user assistance with a strong focus on enterprise networking technologies and firewall administration.

Contractor location: Luxembourg or any neighboring country within commuting distance of the office. EU-citizenship is a must.

Office presence: 100% on-site.

Deliverables

• Operational support and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Firewall policy updates and security configuration improvements.
• Incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution documentation.
• Technical documentation, operational runbooks, and configuration procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with Cisco enterprise networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Switches, WLC, ISE, and Catalyst Center.
• Strong experience managing Check Point firewalls.
• Strong experience managing Palo Alto firewalls including remote access VPN solutions.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise network and security environments.
• Experience providing Level 2 support in enterprise IT environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and diagnostic capabilities.

Responsibilities include, among others:

Network Infrastructure Administration

• Manage and support Cisco-based enterprise network infrastructure
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN, wireless, routing, and switching issues.
• Maintain documentation of network topology, configurations, and operational procedures.

Firewall & Security Administration

• Administer and maintain Check Point firewall.
• Administer and maintain Palo Alto firewall infrastructure including remote access VPN solutions.
• Configure and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, VPNs, and security configurations.
• Implement security best practices and support infrastructure hardening activities.

Web application firewall Administration

• Support and administer F5 WAF
• Configure new Virtual Servers and amend existing Virtual Servers

Mobile Device Management Administration

• Support and administer Mobile Iron MDM (Ivanti)

Operational Support (Level 2)

• Provide Level 2 support for network, firewall, VPN, and connectivity-related incidents and service requests.
• Ensure timely incident resolution and communication with end users.
