PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and refine claims policies and operating procedures to align with departmental responsibilities and expectations.
- Handle the processing, assessment, and management of claims within the designated authority.
- Lead the coordination and oversight of claims investigations and negotiations, establish cooperation frameworks, and maintain strong working relationships with local loss adjusters and risk survey firms.
- Create performance evaluation policies for loss adjusters and partner agencies and conduct regular performance appraisals.
- Conduct claims data analysis and support related departments with reserve management tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Exigences
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least 3 years of experience handling claims within a non-life insurance company, or a minimum of 5 years of experience with a non-life loss adjustment or risk survey agency. Exceptionally qualified candidates may be considered with slightly less experience.
- Strong knowledge of local insurance regulations and a thorough understanding of claims policies, procedures, systems, and risk management practices.
- Familiarity with the operations of non-life insurance firms and established relationships with loss adjusters in the Benelux region.
- Strong written and spoken skills in English and Dutch. Other languages, such as French, Chinese andGerman, will be preferred.
- Proficiency in standard PC programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
