**Financial Manager, Executive, Real Estate Fund Management in Munich or Luxembourg**:
Macquarie Asset Management has a fantastic opportunity for a financial fund manager to join the Real Estate team in Munich.

As part of the fund management team responsible for financial control, you will play a key role as a financial manager for the Macquarie Asset Management -Real Estate Core/Core plus. Acting as a Financial Fund Manager for legal entities over the globe, you will be responsible for driving effective financial management within the control function. You will be part of the wider EMEA Fund Management team. As part of this role, you will work with key stakeholders on a regular basis such as the CFO and heads of Portfolio Management, Division heads of the various Asset Management businesses, regional CFO as well as external accountants and auditors.

The Financial management team within Fund Management division is responsible providing support across several mandates which covers all aspects of Consolidation, high understanding of transactions and impacts on balance sheet. The team is acting as a primary point of contact for all mandates on financial topics and is therefore in close contact with Asset Managers, Transaction Manager, Portfolio Management and Tax.

You will supervise the fund structure in all financial matters of cross-border investing funds and be the main point of contact for all financial matters of the fund/mandate and where necessary, with internal and external parties involved.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting with the implementation of the financial control framework including overseeing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet and ensuring bookings are reflected under the correct accounting standards (KAGB, HGB and IFRS).
- Understanding how the business flows impact the financial statements
- Regular liaison with other areas of the Fund Management (Group Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, VAT and Treasury, Operations)
- Having financial oversight and governance for finance related activities for the group entities overseeing and driving external auditors
- Oversight of Group consolidations under German and Luxembourg legal requirement (IFRS consolidation/ KAGB share price calculations)
- Reviewing financial statements under KAGB, HGB and IFRS and supporting them with well-developed analytical reviews for Group entities reviewing German regulatory reporting
- Close interaction with offshore Finance teams, fund accountants and legal entity control team to ensure correct accounting treatment.
- Undertaking and delivering ad hoc projects, improvement initiatives and standardization approaches
- Dealing with sales and purchases including advise on PPA’s, accounting treatments and flow of funds for other departments
- Dealing with external service providers e.g. accounting and tax to drive monthly and quarterly reporting

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English, be a highly motivated, proactive and resilient individual. You will demonstrate sound business judgement and possess strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

**We want to hear from you if you have**:

- Postgraduate accounting qualification, preferably ACCA /ACA or an adequate qualification
- Detailed experience and understanding of IFRS, HGB and KAGB consolidations/ share price calculations as well as multi-currency translation skills
- High level of technical competencies and advanced excel skills
- SAP Sem-BCS and SAP FI/CO knowledge
- +3 years’ experience in Financial Accounting/consolidation/external audit
- Good organizing, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in dealing with various stakeholders in different locations over the globe
