Business Analyst Senior
**Location**:
Luxembourg, Luxembourg
**Introduction**:
The scope of support is expected to include, but not be limited to, login, speed/performance, functionality, upload/download, and data consistency. The consultant is expected to work autonomously, but in close collaboration with the JASPERS IT Officer.
**Skills, knowledge, experience required**:

- 7 years’ experience with business analysis and/or requirements engineering in a financial services institution (investment bank, retail bank, insurance undertaking, etc.);
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and software tools for agile planning as Jira;
- Proficiency in English (B2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or equivalent).

**Desirable**:

- Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation or business requirements summaries;
- Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of a new business area;
- Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills;
- Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers;
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.

**Duties/role**:

- Providing daily support;
- Acting as single point of contact towards users and, if applicable, to other IT teams;
- Performing problem follow-up and resolution;
- Prioritising;
- Conducting a root cause analysis;
- Preparing documentation of the processes;
- Maintaining a log of all user support requests (including resolution) and providing monthly summaries to the JASPERS QMU Officer in a format to be defined at the start of the assignment;
- Updating the manuals wherever necessary;
- Supporting JASPERS staff in processing ad hoc requests for data insertion, extraction and manipulation from JASPERS RDBMS;
- Performing bug fixing;
- Conducting problem analysis including debugging, if applicable, together with the user and other IT teams;
- Proposing and designing solutions including estimation;
- Performing non-regression testing, pre-release testing of newly developed functionality, etc.
- Providing evolutive maintenance;
- Conducting business analysis, if needed;
- Performing periodical clean-up;
- Providing release management;
- Performing branch management (i.e. patching and merging);
- Using and configuring build environment;
- Building releases;
- Providing continuous improvements;
- Challenging existing processes with the aim of reaching higher efficiency;
- Automating repetitive tasks.
