Stibbe’s Luxembourg office, located in the heart of the financial district focuses on offering premium legal services in the fields of corporate law, banking and finance law, tax law, real estate and construction law, information technology, investment funds, and asset management. With around 60+ people - lawyers and staff - we provide our clients with the highest quality service, comprising legal advice and representation.
As a leading Benelux corporate law practice, we handle a wide spectrum of corporate and transactional projects for both local and international clients, who we assist throughout the project. We advise multinationals, financial institutions, public and private companies, start-ups, private equity funds as well as state-owned enterprises on corporate governance and compliance, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and public takeovers.

In order to support the growth of a team of lawyers in Luxembourg, we are looking for an Associate with a passion for banking & financial law.
Job description
You will
- work with many different people on diversified and high-level cases and transactions. You will handle these files and projects independently;
- assist different clients on large, national, and international projects with fellow associates and partners from our various practice areas within the Benelux offices;
- manage these transactions with the assistance of a more senior associate or partner, depending on experience.
- You have a European law degree, ideally completed by a Master’s or a post-graduate degree from an Anglo-Saxon university (LL.M.).
- You have already gained relevant experience (5-8 years) as a lawyer in the banking & finance area, preferably in a Luxembourg international law firm.
- You are a member of a European bar and are proficient in English and French, both spoken and written. Fluency in German and/or Luxembourgish is considered an asset.
- You are focused on client relationships and high-quality advice and have excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.
