**Your missions**

We are seeking an experienced **Chief Risk Officer** with a strong background in credit risk management to lead our bank’s risk function in Luxembourg. This role is crucial in ensuring robust risk oversight, particularly in credit risk, while aligning with our strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsabilities:

- Drive the bank’s credit risk strategy, ensuring proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of credit exposures.
- Defend credit portfolio quality, anticipate risks in new lending files, and take swift action on doubtful exposures.
- Collaborate closely with the business leadership team to ensure risk management aligns with the bank’s strategic vision and risk appetite.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with regulators and local authorities, ensuring full compliance with the evolving regulatory landscape.
- Establish and oversee a robust risk management framework, incorporating the three lines of defense model and a clearly defined Risk Appetite Statement.
- Lead risk-related governance through active participation in key committees and direct reporting to the Audit and Risk Committee and Board of Directors.
- Own and oversee the preparation and review of ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plan documents, ensuring alignment with the bank’s business, capital, and funding plans.
- Collaborate with key functions (Finance, Operations, IT) to integrate risk considerations into the bank’s operating model and control framework.

**Your ideal profile**
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a private banking environment in Luxembourg, with significant exposure to credit risk management.
- Proven expertise in leading and managing a risk team, setting strategic direction, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal objectives.
- Strong background in credit risk assessment, structuring, and mitigation, with the ability to safeguard and enhance portfolio quality.
- Professional qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management required; additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in private banking, including AML/CTF regulations.
- Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive risk management frameworks, covering credit, operational, market, and liquidity risks.
- Carry out a skills assessment (soft skills and technical skills) in order to better define your professional project
