**Job Description**:

- Internalize and lead all parts of our financial reporting process.
- Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in the company and to influence the design of systems, processes, and controls to help the company grow and scale.
- Be able to teach these concepts to more junior team members
- Manage a team of 4-6 people in multiple geographies and design future state of the organization
- Manage relationship with Service Providers (accounting not done in-house) and define a plan to bring accounting in-house.
- Oversee the accounting and monitor production of statutory and consolidated accounts
- Assist the integration of newly acquired companies
- Lead the implantation and rollout of new consolidation/reporting system
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of improvements as appropriate, to simplify, standardize and streamline existing processes related to consolidation and reporting.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field. (Financial reporting or internal control)
- You have held similar positions in a public or regulated industry company or held a manager level position with a large public accounting firm for 2 or more years.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges will be expected.
- Charted accountant certification (or equivalent)
- Public accounting experience with Fortune 500 or regulated entities.
- Fluent in English (French would be a plus)
- Be expected to demonstrate that you were a top performer at their level.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, strong verbal, and written communication skills
- Result oriented: ability to prioritize workload to achieve objectives under tight deadlines and under pressure
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks, pragmatic, hands-on approach, problem solver
- Ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others and work well with people at a wide range of levels
- International mindset: ability to work cross functions and cultures
- Familiarity with accounting principles research tools
- Operational accounting experience with medium to large companies
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up
- A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational and accounting challenges
- Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
