Key responsibilities:
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
- Successfully support the practices of the Luxembourg office to help them fulfil their strategic objectives by planning and implementing a range of client-facing initiatives designed to develop our business targeting both new and existing clients, as well as building the profile of these practices in the Luxembourg and international marketplace.
- Work closely with the Luxembourg partners and alongside relevant BD and other colleagues to integrate the Luxembourg practices into the wider HSF network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BD Support for the Luxembourg office

**Relationship building**:

- Developing strong relationships with various teams:

- Partners and other fee earners in the Luxembourg office practice areas
- Across the respective BD teams as well as other BD specialists to connect effectively the Luxembourg practices with the wider network
- Support partners in driving and developing new relationships in the market where required

**Pitches, proposals and tender submissions**:

- Liaise with partners and BD colleagues on drafting significant practice-wide and firm-wide pitches for the Luxembourg practices
- Project manage all aspects of tender responses and pitches led out of the Luxembourg office, including drafting material and obtaining input from various contributors
- Manage the content and development of various BD databases including the adoption of firm-wide credentials management and pitch automation tools
- Develop strong key selling messages for pitches and submissions

**Reputation enhancement, brand & profile raising activities**:

- Project manage the development of marketing collateral
- Take ownership for the maintenance and enhancement of relevant online presence related to the Luxembourg team
- Prepare legal directories and award submissions for the practice
- Project manage and participate in the organisation and optimisation of high level client-facing seminars, social events and conferences
- Liaise with the PR / Communications team on social media and PR opportunities for practices / sectors / geographies related to the Luxembourg team
- Liaise with fee earners and knowledge management or practice support lawyers as appropriate on articles for external publications and content for client materials

**Client relationship management**:

- Providing support to the Luxembourg office in the preparation and implementation of action plans for key clients. The role requires a tenacious approach and the ability to work alongside partners in order to realise the agreed actions
- Gather pitch de-brief information and matter feedback as part of HSF's client listening programme. Support client relationship associates on their management of key regional clients

**Strategy, planning and client activities**:

- Assist in the preparation, and drive forward the implementation, of business development plans related to the Luxembourg practices
- Develop presentations and documents that provide a high-quality overview of the Luxembourg practices to new and existing clients, as well as the achievement of planning objectives and KPIs for internal purposes
- Manage distinct additional firm-wide or practice-wide projects as required
- Support the partners with market intelligence and strategic research focused on driving new opportunities in the market
- Support and advise the teams in their client development and cross-selling initiatives
- Develop the client relationship and client listening skills of the practices' lawyers
- Assist the teams in their targeting initiatives, monitoring and tracking the teams' interactions and associated follow up
