We are an international team, with almost all continents represented by our 30 staff members. Our working language is English, and we collaborate closely with colleagues in our London office.
We are looking for a **Finance Manager **to provide support to the Finance Department. The successful applicant will be joining a team of professionals working to maintain good order and transparency of the company’s finances and will report to the Group Finance Director.
**Responsibilities and duties **(the tasks below represent tasks of the Finance Department and are allocated between team members depending on the workload):
- Review of company valuation models (DCF, multiples methods) and memoranda prepared by Business Units
- Coordination of valuation audits
- Prepare asset related disclosures for IFRS and LuxGAAP financial statements, including those related to fair value and impairment.
- Present conclusions and recommendations to the Valuation and Audit Committees
- Prepare high level quarterly Group management reporting.
- Financial planning and budgeting functions, such as preparation of annual budget, variance analysis on a quarterly basis; implementation of cost savings initiatives and other.
- Liaise with investee private equity funds on capital calls, distributions and quarterly / annual reporting. Monitoring performance of PE funds.
- Support day to day finance operations, including, but not limited to contracting, invoicing, approving payments, cost allocation, FX hedging and other treasury functions.
- Review accounting team inputs into transactions and guide them on implications and accounting treatment of these transactions.
- Prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and various group committees.
- Group transaction support for deals.
- Develop and manage internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
Technical competencies will be tested during interview.
**Trial period**:6 months
**Required Profile**:
- EU nationality or if not, a valid work permit for Luxembourg
- Professional qualification in financial management, reporting or valuation (CFA, ACCA, CAIA or equivalent internationally recognised qualification; can be close to completion) **is essential.**:
- Practical experience in review of asset valuation models (DCF/multiples) **is essential.**:
- Strong grasp of IFRS, Lux GAAP.
- Consolidation experience **is a strong plus**:
- Budget setting and management experience **is a strong plus**:
- Basic understanding of private Fund structures and operations
- Highly organised way of working with an eye for detail.
- Independent and proactive in finding solutions.
- Ability to recognize and adapt in changing circumstances
- Good presentation skills.
- Able to integrate well within a small team of international people and be a team player
- Motivated to improve processes and optimise deliverables to be in line with best practice for an international company
- Big 4 audit experience, starting at Manager level (private equity experience as well as experience with industrial companies i.e. not just holding companies) is a plus.
