About the role

This is a 100% new business sales role with a primary focus on building robust relationships with decision makers in Retailers and Merchants with strong international footfall. The goal is to secure new customers for our core suite of products and services within France. The role holder will work closely with Key Account Managers, the Sales Director, Country Manager, Sales Support, Marketing and wider teams to sell our international acquiring solutions to these new customers.

What you will do
- Selling full stack payment solutions to include acquiring, gateway, unified commerce and value added services.
- Identify, build and manage a pipeline of Retail prospects and build relationships to deliver on pre-set Country targets.
- Lead the review of the acquiring opportunities in the Retail Sector and the building of a commercial business case to support investment in this sector.
- Maximise revenue opportunities and ensure the business is sufficiently profitable.
- Manage the customer relationship until they are handed to an Account Manager.
- Accurately complete sales documentation which supports the sale of services that include quotations, proposals and tenders.
- Lead the creation and delivery of new business presentations with customers.
- Make sure that the CRM system is kept updated with customer and opportunity information in line with the KPI’s set by the manager.
- Work and contribute within the broader sales team, creating and promoting ideas to assist colleagues in the achievement of set objectives.
- Work professionally, effectively and constructively to promote the company.

Who you are
- Proven experience in new business sales, preferably within the merchant acquiring or related payments Industry.
- Proven self-starter, networker and relationship builder. Must enjoy independent working.
- A proven track-record of accomplishments in managing strategic relationships, prospecting and delivering high revenue / profitable and long-term agreements.
- Must have a goal orientated, agile and performance related culture.
- knowledge of the French Retail industry or IT solutions within Retail would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Card Acquiring, DCC, retail payment solutions or Retail EPOS systems would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the pricing models for Visa, Mastercard, and other card schemes and experience of negotiating merchant acquiring agreements with retailers is a plus.
- Knowledge of card scheme rules as they affect the sale of merchant acquiring services is a plus.

What you will need to bring to Planet
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar field.
- 7+ years in a business or executive management role.
- Proven interpersonal and networking skills ideally in a similar sales environment.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Proven organizational, planning and sales preparation skills.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce or similar).
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
