Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

This is a highly visible FP&A role overseeing Amazon's recent and new EU countries e-commerce businesses. You will have a holistic view of Amazon's European Emerging country Stores businesses, covering The Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Sweden and overseeing any future European Store launches. This role offers high levels of exposure to senior leadership across the EU and globally, with the opportunity to work closely with various cross-functional teams across business, finance, operations and accounting. You will gain visibility across the full spectrum of the Country P&L and all channels and functions - including retail, 3P, operations and logistics.
In this role you will be expected to support senior leadership (VP+) with top quality storytelling/commentary and financial insights through a number of existing weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review mechanisms. Your commentary, variance explanations, and business insights will be instrumental inputs for executive-level reporting and decision-making.
You will be leading Emerging Marketplaces’ planning processes, coordinating input with partner teams and reviewing marketplace plans with management and country finance teams. Your financial expertise and strategic counsel will be highly valued, as you help shape the future growth and profitability trajectory of these local businesses.

About the team
EU Expansion Finance is a team of ambitious and motivated country CFOs acting as business partners on a full range of finance topics. Supporting new country business brings a whole range of exciting challenges covering a wide variety of topics driving customer experience, growth and profitability.
