The European tax team consists (with you) of 8 tax professionals (located in Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Paris and San Francisco). Under the direct supervision of the VP Tax Compliance and Accounting, the Tax Analyst will be working closely with the Europe Accounting team on the Funds’ tax accounting/reporting obligations.

As a Tax Analyst you will manage the tax accounting for over €30 bn of AUM and management companies in 13 European countries. This role provides strategic guidance to the US and other parts in the world in which Prologis invests.

What’s needed in order to do that:

- Preparation of both IFRS and US GAAP current and deferred income tax accounting / reporting requirements, including reconciliations and analysis of variances.
- Assist in preparing tax budget & forecast.
- Provide input with respect to reporting requirements, e.g., analyze and disclose income tax
- risks for ASC740-10 (formerly known as FIN48).
- Provide tax guidance and help answering tax-related questions raised during the tax compliance process.
- Preparation of the reconciliation of the tax result of the final tax filings with the quarterly tax provision accounting.
- When required assist in tax optimization projects, e.g., transfer pricing, VAT leakage reviews, restructuring of real estate portfolios, finance improvements and anticipation on legislative changes.
- Remain up to date in material issues affecting our tax positions in Europe, including new legislation in European jurisdictions for which we have a presence and basic understanding of US tax principles.
- Safeguard the tax strategy and specific real estate related tax-exempt regimes in several jurisdictions by closely monitoring transactions and processes within the company.

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Provide assistance to the Tax team members dealing with business transactions and restructurings, particularly on tax due diligence requirements on acquisitions and dispositions.
- Ad-hoc assistance to other Tax team members in terms of information associated with tax compliance/accounting, when requested.
- Work on various tax projects to further optimize the European structure and ensure it is compliant with all (new) tax laws in the relevant jurisdictions.

- Fluent in English required, (other European languages advantageous).
- Bachelors or Master degree in tax accounting/law
- 2-4 years international tax compliance/accounting experience
- Willing to learn and develop new capabilities
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Able to prioritize and manage concurrent projects independently
- Enjoys analytical projects
