Senior Payroll Manager Emea

**Job Summary**

The Senior Payroll Manager EMEA is responsible for the overall direction, development performance and maintenance of the payroll and Time Management activities of Avient and be part of the EMEA HR team.

**Essential Functions**
- Provides leadership and direction to the payroll department and ensures that payroll employees meet departmental objectives.
- Works closely with the HR Service Center and the HR colleagues in the countries to ensure seamless process handling and accuracy of HR system
- Responsible for the preparation of all payroll activities including payroll payments, reports and forecasts including responsibility for reporting to the local authorities
- Responsible for the establishment of appropriate checks and balances to ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll data and compliance with all government requirements and SOX control including timely reporting.
- Comply with all the payroll financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations, including statutory obligations
- Works closely with the accounting department to ensure proper accruals, proper distribution and reconciliation; with the tax department to ensure proper payroll tax compliance; and with the human resources department to ensure accurate benefits processing.
- Works closely with outsourced EMEA vendors for payroll and time management to resolve payroll issues, ensure systems run effectively and provide feedback.
- Simplify and improve the payroll process looking to create efficiencies in terms of cost and the ability to streamline
- Participate actively and lead the payroll EMEA outsourcing and time management project for Avient.
- Lead others payroll/Comp project as assigned
- Other projects / duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- 5 - 7 years of relevant job experience with demonstrated capabilities and impact on results
- Leadership experience in cross country team
- Experience in multi-country payroll handling

- Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity in a fast pace global environment
- Ability to function effectively within a global, matrix organization and communicate at different levels within the organization
- Effectively leading and developing a team
- High level of self-initiative, drive and willingness to learn and be challenged
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Oracle, ProTime & SD Worx is a plus
- Proficiency in English (other languages would be a plus)
